Hey fam!

Priyanka here, I’ve been bustling in NYC this week, filled with exciting events and meetings with media execs. Two standout moments so far:

2. I’ve been meeting with legacy media executives to bridge the gap between traditional media and our generation. I had an inspiring meeting with the MD of Mirror and even got a tour of the AP newsroom, which was amazing, especially on the day of the debate!

🗞️ Here's everything you need to know about Trump and Harris’ first (and likely their last) face-off

• "Israel won't exist:” Trump claims Harris’ presidency would lead to Israel’s downfall within two years, adding that she dislikes Israel and Arabs.

• Trump falsely claims Haitian immigrants are eating their pet cats and dogs. While we’re on the subject of conspiracy theories, Harris’ earrings also got some attention for being earpieces.

• He claimed he won’t sign a national abortion ban and accused Harris of supporting transgender surgeries for undocumented immigrants in prison, stirring online controversy.

• Harris taking down Trump’s history of racism was a big moment. She also brought up his extensive criminal history.

• Her unemployment stat about Trump gets fact-checked.

• Of course, there was an exchange about “size.” Trump objected to lectern size adjustments to not appear similar in size to Harris. He also defended the size of his rallies after Harris called them “crazy” and fictional.

• The ‘afterparty’ was not pretty for Trump, who faced backlash for his debate performance (a website with his "weirdest quotes" has also cropped up). The markets seem to award victory to Kamala Harris, who also gained in prediction markets. Taylor Swift—arguably the biggest celebrity of our time—also officially endorsed her.
